IWR Consultancy is an IT business located in Northeast Scotland. We specialise in providing computer and IT equipment installation services and support to the smaller business client.

Having been involved in the small-business market sector since the late 90's, we have built-up a considerable amount of expertise in providing the kinds of IT services and support which this market-sector needs, and without getting into overspend or overcomplication.

We are experienced in dealing with the issues created by the fact that small sites typically contain a range of computer models and specifications bought over an extended timeframe, whereas mainstream, coprorate-oriented networking software expects all desktop computers to be as identical as possible. The diversity of computer types and installed software on smaller sites leads-to some special problems of its own when it comes to connecting these computers together into a smoothly-functioning network. We have therefore developed our own specialist approach to networking small sites of diverse-model computers. This includes the writing of a number of bespoke apps for connecting clients to servers. These apps are available on Sourceforge, and are free for anyone to use.

Unlike many of our competitiors, we are free agents in terms of what equipment or software we recommend or resell. Thus, we are able to offer impartial advice as to what are the best products to meet your requirements.

Before choosing any other IT-support provider, we suggest you ask whether that provider has a track-record of experience in small-site support. Also, very importantly, try to determine whether they are free to recommend the most suitable products for your requirements, or are tied-in to franchising deals.
